Premium imagery & film / Content production

E-commerce product photography and film, directed for brand experience and conversion.

Product imagery is where brand experience and conversion meet. A customer decides what your brand is worth, and whether to buy, from the pictures before reading a single line. I direct e-commerce content as one system: the same visual language on the product page, in campaigns, in email and on social.

Quiet luxury, one continuous take

Slow light and a single fixed frame let materials do the selling. Atmosphere as positioning.

Why it matters

  1. 01

    Brand experience

Cohesive light, styling and tone make a store feel like one brand rather than a catalogue of suppliers. That consistency is what lets you hold a premium price.

  2. 02

    Conversion optimisation

Every image answers a buying question: scale, texture, fit, use. Product page imagery is planned against where customers hesitate, not against a shot list.

  3. 03

    Cross-channel reach

One production feeds the store, paid social, email and marketplaces in every format needed, so campaigns launch faster and still look like you.

The knowledge behind the image

The base knowledge comes first: semiotics, colour theory and typography.

I have worked in design and the luxury industries for over fifteen years. Semiotics, colour theory and typography are where the base knowledge comes from, applied to how a product is lit, styled and sold. The work has received design awards and has been featured in British Vogue and WGSN for outstanding design. I read imagery the way a customer does, as signs of value. Light, material, colour, gesture and composition tell a shopper what a product is worth before price is seen. My work is to direct those signs deliberately, luxury in feeling and commercial in purpose, then evaluate every image against how the store actually sells.

  1. Base knowledge

Semiotics, colour theory and typography: the grammar that tells a shopper what a product is worth before price is seen.

  2. Luxury production

Over fifteen years in design and luxury industries: light, styling, set, casting, retouching and film, from brief to final export.

  3. Recognition

Design awards, with work featured in British Vogue and WGSN for outstanding design.

Two ways to work, chosen per brand

A

Full production

Creative direction, studio and location shoots, casting, styling and film for launches, hero imagery and brand campaigns where every detail is built from scratch.

B

Digital enhancement

Existing photography elevated through retouching, compositing and AI-assisted scenes. Consistent, premium and fast, when budget or timeline calls for it.

Most brands use a mix. I evaluate your catalogue, needs and budget first, then recommend where full production earns its cost and where enhancement is enough.

Focus: e-commerce hero imagery, product images, lifestyle imagery and brand film. Marketing and social content on request.

Inspiration / Selected moods

Each production below solved a commercial problem. What matters is not the picture itself, but why it was made this way and what it does for the brand that sells with it.

Products in real moments

Lifestyle product imagery shows use and scale at once: the photograph answers the questions a packshot can't.

The craft
Natural light, a real child, a set styled in the brand's own tones, directed so the play feels unposed.
Why it sells
Parents buy the moment, not the object. Seeing scale and use removes doubt at the point of purchase.

Brand film / Children

Client / Barababy

A world the child steps into

Motion gives a children's brand a personality a packshot cannot carry: the feeling a parent buys, filmed in one warm take.

The craft
One warm take, the brand palette in every frame, sound-free so it works on product pages and social alike.
Why it sells
Film holds attention longer than stills and turns a product into a world customers want to belong to.

Product film / Detail

Client / Conscious Breathing

Function, shown up close

Product focus video for technical goods: the detail a customer needs to trust before buying.

The craft
Macro framing and controlled light reveal how the product works, step by step, without a word.
Why it sells
Showing function answers the questions that otherwise become returns, support tickets or abandoned carts.

One product. One visual language.

Sculptural detail on the product page; scale and attitude in the campaign.

The craft
Stone, shadow and colour chosen to echo the piece; the campaign repeats those cues on a person, by the sea.
Why it sells
The detail justifies the price; the campaign shows who wears it. Together they connect the decision to the brand.

Context gives an object presence

Light, materials and composition place the artwork in a world a customer can imagine owning.

The craft
A composed interior scene, built or digitally placed, with light that matches the work's own tone.
Why it sells
Customers struggle to imagine art on their walls. Context makes the size, mood and value tangible.

From isolated form to interior context

A clear product view reveals the profile; an interior scene shows how it belongs in a space.

The craft
Raking light for relief on the product view; proportion and material continuity in the interiors.
Why it sells
Technical buyers get the profile they need; homeowners see the result. One set serves both audiences.

Detail becomes desire

A close product view reveals texture and form; an editorial portrait shows scale and character.

The craft
Tactile stone surfaces for the still; fashion-editorial casting and framing for the portrait.
Why it sells
Close detail builds trust in quality; the portrait creates desire and shows scale on the body.
